amazing mini

I’ve been meaning to make a mini version of our covers for my iPod for quite awhile now.  This weekend I finally got around to it and I love it so very much!  My iPods travel itinerary is pretty much just purse to car and back again with occasional stays in my sewing room.  I can hook it up without taking it out of it’s case so “unpacking & packing” it is a breeze.

No more:
-Digging for the case in the bottom of my purse.
-Recovering the case from between, behind, or below the car seats if I take a turn a smidgen to fast if I forget to put it in said purse.
-Managing to lose it in my small sewing room amidst the “clutter of creativity” if I don’t keep it with the iPod for whatever asinine reason.
-Managing to misplace it anywhere for that matter…

Bottom line, it’s totally spiffy!  Of course I’m going to consider putting some on Etsy.  It might appeal to others as well, we’ll see.  For now though, all sewing is going to be put on hold temporarily while my machine gets dropped off for a checkup.  Hopefully it’ll be gone no longer than a week.

stock up, denied!

Even though I’ve pretty much decided to use these fabrics next, there are other things I have to do before I even touch them.  Like get my stabilizer/interfacing pieces stocked back up.

There is a problem with that however…

I’m thinking of starting a bit of made to order for the e-reader covers.  If so, I can’t just stock pile the one size cut outs like I have been.  Bummer!  I’ve already had a couple people ask for a smaller size for the new Kobo Touch so it’s probably in my best interest to be flexible with the sizes.

I’m not going to get super specific for a whole ton of readers.  I work full time.  I would drive myself absolutely bat guano if I tried that! So far it’d just be 3 sizes:

Small – Kobo Touch and Nook Simple Touch
Medium – Kindle 3, Nook 1st Edition, Kobo Original, and Samsung Galaxy Tablet
Large – Kindle 2, Nook Color, and Sony Daily Edition(PRS-900BC)

My schedule for the next 2 weeks is totally nutters though with an overnight POG, Inventory, and an overnight strip and wax for the floors.  I might not get much done at all! At the very least I will make 2 covers for the Kobo Touch as per request. After that, I make no promises!
