a whole lot of nothing

I’ve hit what I consider a fair sized milestone today. 50 sales! I’ve reactivated the MILESTONE10 coupon to celebrate.

I had this past week off from work and I had big plans to get some things done. Mainly I wanted to rearrange & reorganize my sewing room. That didn’t happen! Besides not feeling all that great the first half of my time off, I realized I wanted a new table for my machine and it would be easier to shuffle the room about once I had the table. It’s supposed to arrive Monday so whatever days I end up off this week I guess it’ll have to be worked on then.

Thursday and Friday were my only productive days really. I spent them cutting out a bunch of covers + 2 mini wallets and ironing all the bits and bobs to the thingamajigs and all that other nonsense. I’ll be rolling them out this week. I figure this way if I do end up tearing apart my room for a bit these are mostly ready to go and can be constructed within the chaos.  I also had to finish 2 cover requests I had. I finished those today and posted them along with a mini wallet.

for the boss lady

On my day off yesterday I made another purple zebra cover for a customer and then made 4 mini wallets for my boss. She asked if she bought the fabric would I make them. Well sure! Why not?! She doesn’t want the leftover fabric back (it’s takes such a tiny amount!) so there will probably be appearances of mini wallets in those fabrics down the road. Other than that, I decided to actually have some time off and sat around like a lazy lump with my sister and watched American Idol. (Jacob makes me cringe and I’m mad Casey went home last week!) We finished off the evening by loitering at Dunkin’ Donuts. Good times.

I have a lot of fabric. Way too much fabric. I have so much fabric I always seem to have trouble deciding what I want to use next. I keep buying more too of course. So that makes it even harder. This time around I think I’ll go with these. The center ones are semi new and the outer ones I have had for… I’m not exactly sure how long! I kind of forgot about the pink spider one so I was excited when I pulled it from the shelf. I can’t wait to make it and I hope someone will like it. So I definitely want to make those Friday/Saturday. I have those days off but I also need to get some spring cleaning started so we’ll see if more gets done or not!
